Hurricanes
When it comes to the sheer amount of atmospheric energy released, nothing can compare to a major hurricane. Even hurricanes that rank lower on the Saffir-Simpson scale unleash a tremendous amount of energy that results in violent wind speeds, storm surge, inland flooding and often tornadoes in the outer spiral bands. Hurricanes provide an adrenaline pumping chase experience that always keeps me on my toes. They require careful planning and considerations of my surroundings in order to experience the most powerful part of the storm in the safest manner possible. Below are my photo collections from the hurricanes I have intercepted.
